Hi Kelly,
I also had an accident in MA at Wachusett Mountain in February, 2003. I lost my balance right before going off a 20 ft. jump and landed on my head with out a helmet. I was in a coma for 3 1/2 weeks and had to learn how to walk, talk, and eat all over again. Much like yourself I started a foundation that benefits the hospital I was at. I'm writing you because I am a motivational speaker and I do a monthly email newsletter and just wanted to let you know that I'm writing about you! If you do any speaking i'd love too team up with you and help any way I can!

Hi everybody!
My name is Sierra, I'm a college kid from good old Minnesota. I came across your site in google search for 'inspirational SCI people'. A week ago today, my buddy Josh, a senior in highschool, had a ski accident. He broke his back in two places, (T7) some ribs, and a punctured lung. Josh is a really optimistic and upbeat guy, but he would really like to hear from some inspiring people who have embraced a major life change like his, and kept on living an active lifestyle. He started his rehab yesterday, and will be in the hospital for atleast the next 6 wks. My name is Brent Adams. I am 27 from Orlando, FL. I was on my computer late at night in Florida when i saw a clip of you on ESPN. I looked up your site to try to contact you! Dec 8th 2007 i was in a motocross accident. I have an SCI injury at the T-11/12 vertebrae. Ive been working HARD at recovery, and i KNOW I will walk again! I have already regained some of my legs but will not stop until I am well again! I go to the shepherd center in Atlanta? Do you do therapy?...where at? I have many friends in the SCI community. I am encouraged at your will and determination! FOREVER A FAN!

Hey Kelly,
I hope all is well. I met you in Colorado during the X-Games. I was the guy behind you and your Mom during the final of the Mono-Skier Cross. I didn't put it together then, but we have a mutual friend, Nate Simms. Nate put me in touch with you a couple weeks after my accident. We talked by phone. You told me about your life post-injury and about Craig. The conversation was hard for me, because you were telling me about life in a chair, and I was still convinced that I was going to walk out of the hospital. Now, every time I do something for the first time in the chair I remember a little of our conversation. Anyway, thanks for being in the same boat. You, as example, make life a little easier.

Dear Kelly I do not know if you remeber me I was with you at the Nationals in Alaska with you and Worm and his family I also had a visit with you after your accident when you were in Colorado in rehab, I gave you a photo that I had taken of you and Worm.I saw the article in Ski Racing and I am so happy to see you on skis again , its were you belong and I am sure you will and are an inspiration to a lot of people to go out there and do something no matter what. i also sit on the board of directors of the Hunter Mtn Foundation and we received a grant from your foundation and thesemonies were used to help the purchase back protctors for our kids.
