Over 700 riders, together with over 100 volunteers and over 1,000 supporters, raised over $350,000 (and still increasing) at the 10th Annual Kelly Brush Century Ride powered by VBT Bicycling and Walking Vacations to purchase adaptive sports equipment for people with spinal cord injuries and safety equipment for alpine ski race programs. The weather could not have been better, the enthusiasm higher nor the inspiration more palpable than out on the roads of beautiful Addison and Chittenden Counties.

Since Saturday, we have heard many incredible stories from riders and supporters alike. Please send us yours! And don’t forget to tag your photos on social media with #KellyBrushRide!

“Thank you so much! Great ride! Great weather! Great staff! I pinned on number 732 and got to see Kelly on her hand powered cycle. Keep it coming!”

“I read Kelly’s story and it resonated with me, it inspired me. I would hope I would have her courage. The route was beautiful, the Volunteers were awesome. One of the best parts for me was I had the pleasure in the last 5 miles to ride with one of the gentlemen on a handcycle. Just hearing how the bike has given him back his freedom made me realize that this event will be on my calendar for years to come. I hope to raise three times as much money next year for a great foundation. Thank you!!!!!”

“What a wonderful ride yesterday!  Bravo for putting on such a great affair!  I road in the 50 mile bike and was amazed by a handcyclist that was also doing it!  He and I traded many remarks along the way and I was witness to him pass many cyclists including myself up the hills!  Wow! He was truly inspiring and got me through to the finish!”

“I just wanted to send a quick note to say how impressed I was with the ride on Saturday. From parking to volunteers to the course, etc., everything was perfect and could not have gone any smoother. This was my second year doing the ride and fundraising and had a great time doing both. Looking forward already to next year.”
