wine1durso1webKBF Grant Recipient and ride participant Greg Durso gives back to the Kelly Brush Foundation in a big way!

At a private wine release party on Long Island, New York, over $1,500 was raised for the Kelly Brush Foundation.  The event started as a celebration for friends and family of host, Gaurav Prasad.   Held at One Woman Wines and Vineyards, a unique and special vineyard in Southold, New York, the evening benefited both the Kelly Brush Foundation and the Center for India Studies, Stony Brook.

While the event was a much deserved celebration by the host, Gaurav Prasad, Mr. Prasad also wanted to make it a charitable benefit and to that end asked his friend Greg Durso to choose a charity for the benefit.  Greg received his handcycle through a grant from the Kelly Brush Foundation shortly after his injury and has been handcycling and competing ever since.  He has participated in the KBF ride for the past several years and is currently training for the Ironman Triathlon in Lake Placid to be held July, 2014.  We were extremely honored when Greg named the Kelly Brush Foundation as the group to benefit from this generous celebration.

Thanks to the generosity of those attending the wine release party, over $1,500 was raised on behalf of the Kelly Brush Foundation at the event in late October.  We couldn’t be more honored to be chosen as one of two organizations to benefit from this outpouring of generosity.   Thanks to Greg, Gaurav, and all of the supporters who gave so generously – it is support like this that allows us to continue to grow and spread our mission.
