Community Spotlight: Paris Carter
This month’s Community Spotlight is on Paris Carter from Georgia! The KBF had the pleasure of spending three days in Park City, Utah with Paris, who participated at the 2024 Winter Camp with Shepherd Center & National Ability Center. It was awesome to have Paris with us in Utah skiing, tubing, rock climbing, and laughing endlessly.
Paris first started playing adaptive sports when she was introduced to tennis at a local recreation therapy clinic. With her eyes open to the broader realm of adaptive sports, she joined BlazeSports in Atlanta for the basketball season. “The camaraderie within my team, comprised of exceptional women whom I’ve had the pleasure of meeting,” she explains, “has significantly contributed to my enjoyment of the experience.”
In addition to her passion for basketball and a newfound love of skiing, she finds joy in baking, cooking, and spending time with animals- especially her cat and dog! Since her time spent in Park City, Paris cannot wait to get back on the snow and try out different ski equipment. With all of her interests, the KBF is excited to see what is next for Paris and what equipment she ends up with!
