The Kelly Brush Foundation is thrilled to announce a brand-new addition to our lineup of adaptive sports experiences: the inaugural Wheelchair Sports Camp, hosted in partnership with Ability360 in Phoenix, Arizona! 

Designed specifically for first-time or beginner athletes with spinal cord injuries, this camp is all about trying new sports, building confidence, and getting started in the world of wheelchair athletics. From basketball and tennis to pickleball, softball, and more—this is your chance to explore all the possibilities of court sports in a supportive, fun environment.

What to expect:

Join us for an immersive experience with 3 days of activities focused on playing court sports, connection, and confidence. We’ll provide the equipment, coaching, and community—you just bring your energy!

We’re covering:

  • 4 nights of lodging at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Phoenix, AZ
  • 3 days of breakfast and lunch
  • Two dinners
  • $500 travel reimbursement (plane, rental car, gas)
  • 3 days of court sports instruction
  • Sport chairs to use during the camp
  • Too much fun

Eligibility:

  • Individuals with paralysis caused by an acquired spinal cord injury
    • Other conditions are NOT eligible for our programs, including (but not limited to) spina bifida, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, post-polio, Guillain-Barre´ Strohl Syndrome, ALS, all other neuropathies, and all other conditions causing disability. 
  • Must reside in the United States
  • Focus on individuals with an SCI looking to get started in wheelchair sports, OR beginners trying to figure out which chair or sport works for them
  • All ages welcome
